Discarded fishing line is one of the most dangerous forms of litter for wildlife, entangling birds, turtles, fish, and mammals. To combat this, KWF supports 15 dedicated fishing line collection stations across Peterborough and the Kawarthas, ensuring that discarded line is safely removed from the environment and recycled. We work with anglers, conservation groups, and local communities to spread awareness and encourage responsible disposal.
